Our take

Web research only so far. Checked 26 Sep 2026.
Who it's for
Good fit: Someone who wants to get properly strong and fit with expert coaching and likes (or does not mind) a close, social group. Early risers (the 5:30am crew), CrossFit or HYROX curious people, lifters who want Olympic lifting coaching, over 60s (FMT Legends at about $35 a week) and parents who need a kids room. $75 a week unlimited with no lock in and a $45 trial week
Not for: Anyone who wants to train alone and not be talked to (the community is the product: coached groups, banter, partner Saturdays, attendance leaderboards and socials; the upstairs space on the $75 plan is the only possible solo route and is unverified). Anyone on a tight budget ($63 to $75 a week). Sunday class seekers (none). People who want machines or treadmills. Anyone wanting a quiet 9:30am class (full at 20 most weekdays) or a Saturday 6:30am spot (full at 30)
Scores are our opinion after visiting, 1 to 5. Social vibe 1 is quiet and solo, 5 is loud and social.

What it is
60 min coach led group classes, up to 20 (30 at 5:30am and Saturday). CrossFit and FSC (Functional Strength and Conditioning: HIIT plus functional bodybuilding without the technical CrossFit lifts) run side by side in the same hour, so you pick your track. Also Olympic Lifting, Endurance (row, bike and ski blocks), HYROX, FMT for over 60s and a Competitors class. Programming by Starr Strength & Performance. Unlimited members also get the upstairs training space. PT and nutrition coaching. Book on the FitBox schedule
Coaching: Technical and encouraging. A coach runs every hour, teaches and scales real lifts and gymnastics, and is meticulous about form and injuries; the owner is an exercise physiologist whose programming business writes the workouts. Reviews call the coaches caring and friendly, big on banter and celebrating every win, and the members cheer each other on. Hands on and personal, never hands off
Gear: Barbells and Olympic lifting gear, gymnastics (handstands and pull ups), Echo bikes, rowers and ski ergs, sleds for HYROX, an upstairs training space, kids room, showers and toilets. Reviews: constant investment in new equipment (2023), well maintained (2025). No treadmills or cable machines mentioned
Extras: FMT for over 60s Tue and Thu 8:00am (TMG Legends plan), Olympic Lifting Mon 6:30pm, Endurance Tue and Thu 6:30pm in 8 week tested blocks, HYROX Wed 6:30pm (official HYROX training centre), Competitors class (not on the public timetable), Humble Saturday partner workout, Committed Club monthly prize for 16 plus sessions, in house competitions, dress up days, socials and an annual women's lunch. Free onboarding for beginners. No teen or student offer found
