Who it's for

Good fit: Locals who want a clean, friendly, family run 24/7 gym with a big class timetable included for under $36 a week, parents who need a creche, beginners who want staff who know their name, and solo trainers who can use the quiet unstaffed hours (Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, Sunday and late evenings, per Google Popular times).

Not for: Anyone who wants to stay anonymous during staffed hours (it is a small everyone says hi gym), someone who wants a quiet floor straight after work on Mon or Wed, people who need showers, lockers or towels confirmed before joining (nothing online), Sunday class goers (virtual only), and anyone who wants the cancellation terms in writing before they sign.

Scores are our opinion after visiting, 1 to 5. Social vibe 1 is quiet and solo, 5 is loud and social.

What it is

Solo training 24/7 by key fob on a two level strength and cardio floor, with 80 plus classes a week included in the classes tier (about 30 live coached classes Mon to Sat in a separate studio, about 7 live Les Mills, live yoga and pilates, the rest Les Mills virtual on screen 7 days), paid small group reformer pilates, paid one on one PT, in house nutritionist, creche Mon to Sat mornings. Founded 2012, family owned by the current owners since Sep 2022.

Coaching: Social and hands on.

Gear: Two levels: strength floor with a large selection of free weights and machines, new machines bought to replace ageing ones, cardio floor, spin room with RPM and The Trip screens, Les Mills virtual room, reformer pilates studio, SMARTSTEP BodyPump kit. Brands not published.
